A unique atom in \([C(E),C_\alpha(E)]\) (English)
0 references
For a given set \(X\) and a given non-trivial equivalence \(E\) on \(X\), a congruence \(C_*(E)\) on the full transformation semigroup \(T_E(X)\) is obtained. It is shown that \(C_*(E)\) is a unique atom in the complete sublattice \([C(E),C_\alpha(E)]\) of the congruence lattice of \(T_E(X)\).
