Homological dimension and almost excellent extensions (English)

Let \(R\) be an associative ring with identity. The finitely presented dimension of \(R\), denoted by \(\text{FPD}(R)\), was defined by \textit{Ho Kuen Ng} [see Pac. J. Math. 113, 417-431 (1984; Zbl 0558.13008)]. The following result is the main result of this paper: If \(R\subset S\) is an almost excellent extension then \(\text{rFPD}(S)=\text{rFPD}(R)\).
