Based on vector geometry, the author presents a proof of the repeatedly derived and well-known generalization of Pythagoras' theorem which holds for \(n\)-dimensional simplices with \(n\) mutually orthogonal edges emanating from a single vertex. On this way, he also derives a generalization of Heron's formula and discusses related topics.
