Cycle times assignment of nonlinear discrete event dynamic systems (English)

The author establishes models for nonlinear discrete event systems (DEDS) by min-max functions, which are formed from simple functions through \(\vee\) and \(\wedge\) operations and defines the reachability and the observability for these models. Moreover, the problem about cycle times assignment for the DEDS, which corresponds to the important problem about poles assignment for linear systems, is studied. Furthermore, he proves by use of Gunawardena et al.'s duality theorem that the cycle times of a DEDS can be assigned by a state feedback (or output feedback) if and only if the system is reachable (or reachable and observable).
