TLM for diffusion: The artefact of the standard initial conditions and its elimination within an abstract TLM suite (English)

The authors show analytically and numerically that for the transmission line matrix (TLM) modeling algorithm for numerical solving the diffusion equation the usual initial conditions for the incident voltage pulses in term of the initial concentration introduce a significant numerical error. It is shown, that this error can be eliminated by combination of the link-line and link-resistor schemes. The theoretical consideration are supported by numerical illustrations.
