In a previous paper [\textit{P. R. Gordoa, N. Joshi}, and \textit{A. Pickering}, Nonlinearity 12, No. 4, 955-968 (1999; Zbl 0945.34073)] the authors presented a new method of deriving of Bäcklund transformations for ordinary differential equations. They applied this method to the second and fourth Painlevé equations in that paper. Here the authors give full results for the third and fifth Painlevé equations.
