This is an unabridged republication of the work first published by Academic Press in 1991. The aim of the book is to provide a guide on expert judgement for lay persons. These lay persons may be from the physical and engineering sciences, mathematics and statistics, business, or the military. The book is divided into three parts. Part I: Introduction to expert judgement; Part II: Elicitation procedures; and Part III: Analysis procedures. Appendices A through D document the computer programs used in the text. Finally, a glossary provides a quick reference for the terms highlighted in bold italics in the text. The book will be useful to researchers in applied sciences and business where expert judgement in required.
