The subjectivity of scientists and the Bayesian approach (English)
0 references
The authors' intent is to highlight the role of subjectivity in science by describing the life and works of 17 scientists. The book culminates with a 20-page pitch for harnessing this subjectivity via a Bayesian methodology. Unfortunately, the biographical vignettes contain several statements -- both scientific and historic -- that are, at a minimum, arguable.
