The book is an enlarged and revised English edition of a Polish version published in 1998 by the Publishing House of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin, Poland. This is the second volume of a series of books of problems in mathematical analysis. It deals with real functions of one real variable, except Section 1.7 where functions in metric spaces are discussed.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe volume is divided into two parts. The first part is a collection of exercises and problems, and the second contains their solutions. The problems are grouped into sections according to the methods of solutions. Each section begins with relatively simple exercises. All the notations and definitions used are standard. The book is suitable for students studying the basic principles of analysis, for problem-solving seminars as well as for self-study. The collection of problems will also help teachers who wish to incorporate problems into their lectures.
