The classification and presentation of the problems of the Eőtvős Mathematics competition during the period 1929-1943 is being treated in this extremely interesting book. A total number of 45 problems is considered and classified in the four classical areas of Mathematical Olympiad Competitions: combinatorics, number theory, algebra and geometry. The presentation of all problems is done in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 contains the combinatorics problems, followed by the number theory problems in Chapter 3 and algebra problems appear in Chapter 4. The set of all problems concerning geometry is divided into two chapters, namely Chapter 5 and Chapter 6. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe nine problems which are included in Chapter 5 concern geometric congruences and inequalities, parallelism, the centres of a triangle, areas and similarity while the other nine problems of Chapter 6 deal with circles, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, vectors, complex numbers and solid geometry. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEAt the beginning of each chapter there is an accurate and rich presentation of the necessary theory for the corresponding problems. After the theory, multiple solutions to the problems are presented along with generalisations and remarks. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe book concludes with three very useful indexes: a theorem index, a term index and a problem index.
