The analytical challenge faced in this paper is to cast the corresponding equations into a form to allow a direct comparison between the astrophysical condensate stabilized by gravitation and the laboratory condensate stabilized by a trapping potential. One of the aims of the paper is that empirical studies of Bose condensation can inform theoretical models for any hypothetical process of condensation in the astrophysical situation. The authors received the following results: (a) the theoretical description based on a modified Gross-Pitaevskii equation is developed; (b) a scale analysis of important physical regimes is performed and a non-dimensionalized version of the Schrödinger equation is introduced; (c) the stationary states for various values of the potential coupling parameters are numerically computed; (d) the concept of deep-space quantum objects is introduced and their properties are investigated.
