A note on an inequality similar to Opial's inequality (Q2724901)

In this note, the author establishes inequalities similar to Opial's inequality involving a linear differential operator \(L\) and the associated Wronskin function \(W\). The inequalities obtained are similar to that given by \textit{G. A. Anastassiou} [Math. Inequal. Appl. 1, No. 2, 193-200 (1998; Zbl 0906.26010)] which involved the linear differential operator \(L\) and the associated Green's function \(H\) instead of the Wronskin function \(W\). For \(n = 1\), the results obtained reduce to Opial's inequality [cf. \textit{Z. Opial}, Ann. Polon. Math. 8, 29-32 (1960; Zbl 0089.27403)].
