This paper considers theoretical and numerical aspects of the stochastic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with both additive and multiplicative space-time white noise in Stratonovich form.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEExistence and uniqueness results are given and the influence of noise on the ``blow up'' phenomenon is investigated. In particular, it is shown that in the presence of additive noise all initial data yields a singular solution.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINESome numerical simulations are presented in which there is an attempt to preserve symplecticity.
