The study of predictive functional control for multivariable systems with time-delay and disturbance (English)

A multivariable predictive functional control (MPFC) algorithm is presented. The control law is taken as a linear combination of a given set of base functions. The optimal values of the coefficients of the outlined linear combination, which minimizes the sum of the square errors between the predicted output and the reference trajectory, are found. The selection of a used set of base functions is related to the desired behaviour and the nature of the process. It is shown that the MPFC signal can be represented by an analytic linear equation. Also, the coefficients of this equation can be calculated off-line. It is argued that the proposed MPFC algorithm is feasible and has high control precision and fast track velocity for a common class of multivariable systems with time delay and disturbances.
