Singular stress field at the tip of a closed interface crack (English)
0 references
A generalized plane strain linear elasticity model is developed to analyze the crack tip singularity. The closed interface is considered with frictionless and friction contact. Homogeneous isotropic, bimaterial isotropic, and anisotropic cases are studied, the exponents of singularity and the numerical calculation of intensity factors are also given. The computational method used to get the characteristic elements of singularities of the crack is based on a variational formulation, which contains the kinematic condition of the closed interface crack with friction. The role of the anisotropy and the effect of the friction coefficient are examined using the results of numerical computations.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0960.00045].
