Codes on Euclidean spheres (English)
0 references
This book is comprised of 11 chapters covering a wide range of contents related to codes on spheres in Euclidean space, referred to as spherical codes. The contents include linear programming bounds, codes in dimension 3, permutation codes, polyphase codes, group codes, distance regular spherical codes, lattices, and decoding of codes.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEA good deal of discussion on algebraic codes and designs, spheres in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), and spherical geometry is presented in appendices A, B, and C. Appendix D presents tables of spherical codes of dimension \(3, 4,\dots,24\). The book offers an almost complete and self-contained account of the current state-of-the-art within the special part of the theory.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEI am sure that this book will be useful and of interest both to mathematicians and to engineers, particularly to those within the field of telecommunication.
