On the difference of perfect powers and sums of terms of linear recurrences (English)
0 references
This paper is extremely terse and technical. The main result, a rather complicated theorem, establishes a lower bound for the absolute value of the difference between a perfect power and the sum of a finite number of terms from a linear recurrence. The author's notation is a bit quirky, as he uses the symbol \(x\), rather than \(n\), to denote the index of terms in a recurrence.
