Averaging techniques in thermomechanics of composite solids. Tolerance averaging versus homogenization (English)
0 references
This book deals with a method of describing the thermomechanical behaviour of microperiodic composite solids on the macroscopic level. The proposed approach can also be applied to the analysis of structures made of a large number of identical or similar elements. The homogenization technique and asymptotic methods are integrated with the notion of tolerance averaging. The tolerance averaging is based on some heuristic suppositions, and is oriented mainly towards the analysis of those engeneering problems which cannot be propely described by using homogenization techniques. The book has been written mainly for the basis of postgraduate level courses and as a reference for research workers and doctorate students interested in the thermomechanics of microperiodic composite solids and structures.
