Identification of modal models of helicopters using in-flight measurements (English)
0 references
The paper deals with identification of dynamic modal models of helicopters, based on in-flight random measurements. The essence of the approach consists in the estimation of a set of correlation functions at measurement points and then inferring from that the modal models parameters. The correlation functions are approximated with a sum of exponentially decaying harmonic functions. The obtained modal models ensure evaluation of dynamic properties of complex helicopter structures in operating conditions. The application of the method to the identification of a flying helicopter is illustrated using real-life data.
