Certain ``nonlinearity'' characteristics of group mappings (English)

The authors study questions related to the parameters which describe the so-called deviation of finite Abelian group mappings from homomorphisms. These parameters generalize the notion of linearity index and maximal element of the difference table from the Boolean theory. The inequalities obtained give a connection between the parameters. The authors indicate a connection with some applications to cryptanalysis methods.
