The authors state that this survey is based on the recollections of representatives of two generations of participants in the Golusin seminar on the theory of functions of a complex variable. The survey was written around the year 1990 and so far has been available only in the form of a preprint. The introduction highlights the developments in 1984, when participants in the seminar checked the manuscript by L. de Branges and concluded that this manuscript did, in fact, prove the Lebedev-Milin conjectures, which confirmed the validity of the Bieberbach conjecture.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEPart 1 of this survey has two sub-sections: Pre-War Period and The Period 1941-1951 (The Last Decade of G. M. Golusin's Life). Part 2 is divided into the sections, The Period 1952-1981 and The Period 1982-1986.
