A new control strategy based on two-point multirate controllers has been presented to solve the adaptive pole placement problem for linear systems. On the basis of this strategy, the original problem is reduced to an associate discrete pole placement problem, for which a fictitious static-state feedback controller has to be computed. The proposed scheme provides several advantages over known indirect adaptive pole placement schemes.
