The article deals with the algorithm of expert system for organic synthesis problem. As the criterion of optimality we can consider the number of synthesis stage, or the duration of synthesis, or the costs of synthesis. The general principles of algorithm are based on the notions of ``synthon'' and ``synthetic equivalent''. The recursive procedure on the Turbo Prolog language for optimal cost of synthesis is presented.
