System approach to the decision making problem (Q2730557)

The author considers the problem of reducing a global decision making problem to a multistage decision making problem. This reduction process is represented by the following steps: 1) dividing the initial problem into a collection of ``simple'' problems; 2) determining the succession of solutions of these ``simple'' problems; 3) classification of these decision making problems; 4) determining for each problem the input and output information, the set of alternatives and criteria of optimality; 5) choosing the method of solving for each problem.
