The author derives a pair of integral equations for the kernels of the transformation operators, which determine fundamental solutions of the equation \((pw')'+\lambda ^2\rho w-2ia\lambda \rho w-q\rho w=0, x\in (0,\infty),\) where \(p,a,\rho ,q\) are functions of \(x.\) She proves some useful properties of the kernels. The above equation is associated with the wave equation damping.
