Periodic coordination in hierarchical air defence systems (English)
0 references
The command system of an air defence system is decomposed into two levels. The lower level includes a number (3-5) of sectors, and here the aim is to protect each sector using the resources allocated. The solution of the lower level decision problem is computed with the use of a multiscenario algorithm, which determines the optimal value of the performance index for each sector. The upper level coordination aim is to minimize the summary performance index by allocating resources and assigning tasks to sectors. The special case of the periodic coordination, discussed in the paper, is the coordination synchronous with the repetitions of the multiscenario algorithm. The mathematical model of the system operation is proposed, and a comparison of coordination strategies is given for two simulated attack scenarios.
