The equivalence of 2-groupoids and crossed modules (English)

Homotopy 2-types can be described as 2-groupoids or as crossed modules over groupoids. This paper constructs an explicit equivalence between the corresponding categories and shows that it preserves the homotopy notions in the two contexts.
