    On fuzzy ideals of gamma near-rings (English)

    Fuzzy ideals were defined for \(\Gamma\)-near-rings in a natural way by \textit{Y. B. Jun}, \textit{M. Sapanci} and \textit{M. A. Öztürk} [Turk. J. Math. 22, No. 4, 449-459 (1998; Zbl 0937.16053)], along the lines used in rings and other algebraic structures. Various further results are given in this paper. A fuzzy left (right ideal) \(\mu\) of \(M\) is called characteristic if \(\mu(\theta(x))=x\) for every automorphism \(\theta\) of \(M\) and \(x\in M\). It is shown that a fuzzy set \(\mu\) is characteristic if and only if all the level sets of \(M\) are characteristic left (right) ideals of \(M\). A fuzzy left (right) ideal is said to be normal if \(\mu(0)=0\). It is shown, inter alia, that if \(\mu\) is any fuzzy left (right) ideal of \(M\), then \(\mu^*\) is a normal fuzzy left (right) ideal, where \(\mu^*\) is defined by \(\mu^*(x):=\mu(x)+1-\mu(0)\) for all \(x\in M\). Moreover, if \(\mu\) is a non-constant normal fuzzy left (right) ideal of \(M\) which is maximal in the poset of normal fuzzy left (right) ideals under inclusion, then \(\mu\) takes only the values \(0\) and \(1\).
