On some expansion of the ellipsoidal mean value (Q2733908)

This paper deals with the ellipsoidal mean value of solutions of the iterated linear equation NEWLINE\[NEWLINE(L- \lambda^2)^m u=0,\tag{1}NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(Lu= \sum^n_{i,j=1} a_{ij} u_{x_ix_j}\) and \(a_{ij}\) are real constants. Using the expansion for corresponding functions the author obtains direct and reverse theorems on the mean value of (1). The author studies also similar problems for operator \(Q= \Delta+ \lambda^2\).
