2-D continuous linear systems

The definition of the stability margin known for 2-D discrete linear systems is extended to 2-D continuous linear systems. Two methods for computing the stability margin of 2-D continuous systems are proposed. The first method is based on a constrained optimisation of a real nonpositive parameter and the second one on geometrical considerations. The equivalence of the methods is shown for some examples.
