The authors emphasize on their results in developing new numerical methods for solving systems of nonlinear equations in \(R^n.\) The main attention is paid to systems with singularities. The approach is based on the \(p\)-regularity theory [see \textit{A. F. Izmailov} and \textit{A. A. Tret'yakov}: Factor analysis of nonlinear mappings, Moskva: Nauka, Fizmatlit (1994); 2-regular solutions of nonlinear problems. Theory and numerical methods (1999; Zbl 0965.47050)]. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe book contains the most important results of the \(p\)-regularity theory in Banach spaces and additional material which forms the base for constructing methods of solving various nonlinear problems. Interpretations of the main notions for the finite-dimensional case are given. These results are used for obtaining methods for calculating solutions of regular as well as singular systems of nonlinear equations in \(R^n.\) Procedures for calculating a system of linear independent vectors associated with a differentiable mapping and for a special transformation of a nonlinear system are derived. The 2-factor method and its modifications are considered for determining the solution. It is shown that these methods are convergent with quadratic velocity in regular as well as singular cases. A special method for constructing singular solutions is given. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEApplications of the factor operator theory to singular extremal problems and differential equations are presented. Constructive necessary conditions of optimality for singular problems of mathematical programming in abstract spaces are described. The existence of solutions of a quasilinear equation in partial derivatives is proved with the aid of the \(p\)-regularity theory. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe book is a good foundation for study, research and performing numerical calculations.
