This paper surveys the study on ergodicity, uniform convergence rate of time-discrete Markov processes in terms of Doeblin's minorization and coupling, Dubins-Freedman splitting technique and Furstenberg's backward iteration method. Some specific constructions of iterated maps are represented as the main tool. Some of the authors' recent developments are also included.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0961.60001].
