Envelope constrained filter design: Robustness issues (English)

A technical survey devoted to the so-called envelope constrained filter design is presented. Roughly, this means that the response of the filter to a certain class of inputs mixed with noise fits into a prescribed envelope. The problem can be set into: an analog frame or an hybrid one. In the analytic case one considers the Hilbert space of functions where a minimization of some cost functional must be performed. Finite realizations are taken into consideration together with the effects of implementation uncertainty. Significant results are quoted from a rich list of references (part of them belonging to the authors). We think the paper is of high interest for workers in EC filter design.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0962.00004].
