Galerkin-Shannon wavelet methods for the Stokes problem (English)
0 references
A Neumann boundary value problem of the Stokes equations in the upper plane is reduced to natural integral equations with hypersingular kernels in the sense of Hadamard finite part. Then the author applies the Galerkin-Shannon wavelet method to solve an equivalent variation problem on the boundary. The results show that only \(2^{2j}\) entries are needed to be computed in a stiffness matrix of size \(2^{2j+1}\times 2^{2j+1}\).
