Regular precession around an oblique axis in the problem of motion of a rigid body in a magnetic field (English)

The problem of the motion of a gyrostat in a magnetic field taking into account the Barnett-London effect is investigated. For the case when the mass centre of the gyrostat and the gyrostatic moment belong to the principal plane of the inertia ellipsoid a condition for the existence of regular Grioli precession is obtained. A comparative analysis of the obtained results with the condition of existence of regular precessions in the classical and generalized problems of rigid bodies dynamics is done.
