The Trefftz finite and boundary element method (English)

The book addresses the Trefftz finite element model in its present stage of development. This is the so-called \(T\)-element model, originated in the late seventies and has since increasingly broadened the range of applications. Currently, two-dimensional elasticity, plate bending, Poisson's equation, shell analysis and heat conduction compose the leading scope of practical implementations, and the present book certainly includes all these formulations using a much needed unique systematic treatment of the subject. Altogether, there are ten chapters dealing with various technical applications in conjunction with how the present approach compares with modern finite and boundary element formulations.
