A first-order differential operator is considered with a nonlocal boundary condition [\textit{A. A. Dezin}, Math. USSR, Izv. 1 (1967), 57-79 (1968); translation from Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 31, 61--86 (1967; Zbl 0152.14203)]. The author analyzes how the spectral properties of such an operator depend on the parameters appearing in the coefficients of the operator and in the nonlocal boundary condition.
