The articles of this volume will not be indexed individually.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEFrom the introduction: This volume is a collection of original contributions from a new field which lies at the intersection of computer vision and computer graphics. Recently, great effort has been made towards the integration of computer vision and computer graphics techniques in the areas of realistic modeling of objects and scenes, interactive computer graphics, and augmented reality.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEGeneral issues and numerous specific applications are discussed which demonstrate the close relationships between computer vision, computer graphics, and communication technologies. These include urban and archeological site modeling, modeling dressed humans, medical visualization, figure and facial animation, real-time 3D-teleimmersion and telecollaboration, augmented reality as a new user interface concept, and augmented reality for underwater scene understanding.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe contributions collected in this volume are extensively revised versions of papers which were initially presented at the NATO Advanced Research Workshop which was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 29-31 August 1999.
