A special case of Bianchi cosmological models is discussed. The Painlevé III equations arise as a zero curvature condition in the Belinskii-Zakharov inverse scattering formulation of the Bianchi cosmological models. For special values of the parameters they become the dynamical equation for Bianchi I, II, \(\text{VI}_0\), \(\text{VII}_0\) models.
