About Bernstein algebras (English)

This paper is a very well-written overview of some results on Bernstein algebras, \(k^{th}\) order Bernstein algebras and other related algebras. A special emphasis is made in the results obtained by the authors and their research group. Among other topics, the authors treat the following: 1) idempotents and derivations in Bernstein and \(k^{th}\) order Bernstein algebras; 2) automorphisms in Bernstein algebras; 3) the Bernstein problem; 4) Bernstein superalgebras; 5) the characterizations of the Bernstein algebras (resp. Bernstein algebras over fields of characteristic zero) that are Jordan (resp. train algebras of rank \(\leq k,\) (\(k\geq 4\))).NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0963.00025].
