A class of Adams-type parallel hybrid algorithms (English)

The author proposes a class of Adams-type parallel hybrid multistep algorithms. A stable 3-step 3rd order formula, \(A(\alpha)\)-stable 4-step 4-th order formulas with \(\alpha =89.99^{\circ}\) and an \(A(\alpha)\)-stable 5-step 5-th order formula with \(\alpha =84.92^{\circ}\) are obtained. Numerical examples show that these methods are efficient for solving stiff systems of ordinary differential equations.
