Finite difference approximate solutions for the RLW equation (English)

The authors apply the Crank-Nicolson scheme to solve the regularized long wave (RLW) equations. Existence and uniqueness of the solution of the numerical scheme are proved. A priori bounds, error estimates and energy of the approximate solutions are discussed in comparison with the finite element method.
