The authors give the historical remarks about development of studies in Probability Theory and Statistics at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. The description of curricula for three level (Bachelor, Specialist and Master) of new educational direction ``Statistics'' at Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University are presented. The results of realization of the Tempus Tacis Joint European Project ``Statistical Aspects of Economics'' are described.
