The paper deals with the multivalued version of \(D\)-continuous functions of \textit{J. K. Kohli} [Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc. 84, No. 1, 39-46 (1992; Zbl 0765.54008)], most of the results being straightforward generalizations of the corresponding ones in single-valued case. In addition to some obvious characterizations of upper and lower \(D\)-continuous multifunctions, some of their properties are studied; the concept of \(D\)-regularity of \textit{N. C. Heldermann} [Can. J. Math. 33, 641-663 (1981; Zbl 0419.54006)] is used to that end. Certain comparative study of such multifunctions with the upper and lower semi-continuous and weekly continuous multifunctions are also undertaken in the paper.
