The authors correct an incomplete method by \textit{J. W. Hille} for expressing a fraction of the form \(2/n\) (\(n\) odd) as the sum of two fractions with numerator 1 [ibid. 62, 51-52 (1978)]. The construction gives the number of nontrivial decompositions of \(2/n\) into a pair of Egyptian fractions. In an editorial note at the end, reference is made to a paper by \textit{M. Bruckheimer} and \textit{Y. Salomon} [Historia Math. 4, 445-452 (1977; Zbl 0389.01001)] which is more detailed.
