This paper is a survey on \(m\)-systems of finite classical polar spaces, where the most relevant recent results are presented in a homogeneous way.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe constructions of maximal partial arcs via a particular spread, of generalised quadrangles via a distinguished \(m\)-system with BLT-property, and of 1-systems of \(Q(6,q)\) via a cubic scroll of \(PG(4,q)\) are discussed in detail.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0964.00035].
