Gravitational lensing of a lens described by an axially symmetric solution of field equations for a scalar field minimally coupled to gravity is analyzed. Results obtained here are compared with those corresponding to spherical symmetry given in [\textit{K. S. Virbhadra, D. Narasimha} and \textit{S. M. Chitre} [Astron. Astrophys. 337, 1 (1998)]. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIn general, the presence of a scalar field changes the lensing configuration. For appropriate values of a scalar charge four images and two Einstein rings may be formed.
