Optimization of weight of elastic plates with complex configuration under different boundary conditions. (Q2743033)

The author performs numerical weight optimization of elastic plates having complex configuration. Optimization problem consists of integration of differential equation NEWLINE\[NEWLINE \left(h^3(w_{xx}+\nu w_{yy}) \right)_{xx}+\left(h^3(w_{yy}+\nu w_{xx})\right)+ 2(1-\nu)\left(h^3(w_{xy}\right)_{xy}=q NEWLINE\]NEWLINE under appropriate boundary value conditions, of minimization of functional \(S\rho\to\min\), and of restrictions on thickness \(h_{\min}\leq h\leq h_{\max}\). Optimization parameter is the thickness \(h=const\). Seven particular cases are considered.
