The authors use manipulative techniques and series expansion of Gaussian \(_3F_2\) to arrive at interesting identities involving the products of confluent hypergeometric functions. The motivation comes from a well-known Bailey's identity involving the product of \(_1F_1 (\alpha;2 \alpha;x)\) and \(_1F_1 (\beta;2 \beta;x)\).
