This work deals with the propagation of linear water waves over a soft poroelastic bed. Performing the analysis of length scales and orders of magnitude of physical variables, a perturbation development for the boundary layer correction, based on two small parameters, is proposed and solved. The solutions are carried out for the first and third kind of waves throughout the entire domain, while the second kind of wave, which disappears outside the boundary layer, is solved inside the boundary layer. The results are compared with existing solutions.
